Holy Week at Faith
Maundy Thursday - Thursday, March 24th - 6:00 PM
Maundy Thursday is the day when we remember Jesus's final dinner with his friends -
when he washed their feet and commanded them to love each other, and when he instituted the Lords Supper.
Just as Jesus gathered with a group of his closest friends for dinner that night,
so we too will gather over a meal. This will be an interactive dinner with feet washing, appetizers, blessings, songs,
Holy Communion and will conclude with the stripping of the altar.
Good Friday - Friday, March 25th - 12:00 PM & 7:00 PM
Good Friday is the day we remember Jesus's persecution and execution on a cross.
At this service, we will hear the story of the passion as it is written in the gospel of Luke as well as some poetry and music.
Slowly, over the course of the service, we will extinguish lights to signify the light of Christ as it was extinguished on the cross.
We will be celebrating the resurrection of our Lord at our two Sunday Services
"Windows" at 8:30 AM
"Traditions" at 10:30 AM
There will be a potluck breakfast in between the services - all are welcome to join in the celebration!
Faith Lutheran Church is an open place where all people are affirmed and welcomed just the way they are.
Here you will find a compassionate community pursuing justice and offering itself as a place of safety and sustenance.
God welcomes you. We invite you to experience God’s love through sharing and following Jesus together.
